This place is a Harlem staple! Food is fresh... hot and GOOD! There is usually a line going out the door but no one complains and everyone waits patiently. That should tell you how good the food is! Oh... and the prices are amazing!!!

Food - Very Good: Fish was not greasy and had a nice crisp. It wasn’t salty which was a plus. Their homemade half and half was also solid. Service - Good: Cashier has a good spirit and was helpful in ordering. Took about 35 minutes to grab my fish sandwich. Overall - Recommend: If it’s late, this is definitely a great option. Due to the lack of sides and long wait, I wouldn’t go any other time, unless in the area.

Love this place. Great take out spot, amazing food and homely environment filled with good vibes coming from good people. That's word to the Famous Fish Market!

The best fish I've tasted other than you cooking it yourself. No seating though. But it's amazing.

The food is so delicious! Each time that I visit N.Y., I always stop by for the shrimp and fish combo. But, the light-skinned young woman with the eyeglasses needs some perm in her attitude! She's always short fused with the patrons and never smiles. Gosh, it's amazing that they actually have a tip jar for the employees. Maybe, I'll add a word of advice especially for her in addition to a tip. In the words of the children from the movie, Annie: "You're not fully dressed without a smile". They also changed the type of fish that they usually prepared along with the cook. My fish had lots of bones in it and it wasn't breaded properly.
